Overview
Epilepsy is a serious comorbidity of a significant number of people with intellectual disabilities. A knowledge and understating of the management of epilepsy is an essential skill for all clinicians/healthcare professionals involved in the care of people with intellectual disabilities. The Royal College of Psychiatrists has proposed a tiered model of competencies with a minimum level which all psychiatrists will have to attain.
This course aims to improve clinician’s/healthcare professional’s knowledge of epilepsy, as well as updating delegates on the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and its comorbidities.
